The successful accomplishment of this qualification in Close Protection is a guarantee to employers that you have the
essential skills to do your job confidently and effectively and is key to gaining your SIA Licence as a Front Line Close
Protection Operator.
This is achieved at our dedicated and secluded training facility situated in the stunning Cornish countryside; free from
distraction you will be able to concentrate on getting the most from your course. The self-catered accommodation is first
class with secure wireless internet access.
You can expect an intense but rewarding four weeks on our course designed and delivered by former SBS and Close Protection
operatives all with current commercial experience. It leads to the SIA accredited Level 3 City and Guilds Certificate in
Close Protection and includes the compulsory HSE First Aid at Work qualification with oxygen therapy, defibrillation and
trauma modules. With an excellent student to instructor ratio you can concentrate on the core skills areas required by
the SIA and employers:
- Assess level of threats and risks to principals
- Plan and prepare to minimise threat and risk to principals
- Liaise and communicate with principals and others
- Establish and maintain secure environments
- Maintain the safety and security of principals whilst mobile, both on foot and in vehicles
- Respond to medical crises
- Respond to conflict
With these skills you will be able to carry out all of the above with confidence and so achieve the purpose of Close
Protection to the high standard expected by employers:
